How the SAMON YECHI Weave Tee was made...

So it all started with a load of paper and a paper shredder.

Then a shit load of coloured paper strips....

Once I had my strips I spent a good while trying out different weave
combinations to find out how to create rows of patterns....

After many long hours of weave sampling I had a full sample that I was happy with....

Now I had to transfer my weave in to a digital format.

Once scanned in to Photoshop I was able to manipulate parts of the pattern
to create the SAMON YECHI text that appears below the design....

Once the design was fully complete with weave and text,
it was time to prepare it for screen printing.

The tee is printed front and back which meant making 4 screens in all,
1 screen for each colour front and back as the prints were different sizes.

Once the screens were ready it was just about going to the workshop
and smashing out a load of prints!...

I decided to keep the colours the same as the original weave design
so blue and red plastisol inks were used to print the tee's,
with a pocket print on the front and large print on the back....

This Weave tee along with other SAMON YECHI tees are now available from
